A Day in My Life Trying to Become a Better Virtual Assistant
Somewhere in my head, I thought becoming a better virtual assistant would look very organized and put together.
Like waking up early, having a perfect routine, and ticking off everything on my to-do list without stress.
Reality? It’s not exactly like that.
Some days start with motivation. Other days start with me staring at my phone, wondering where to even begin.
But in between all of that, I’m trying.
A typical day for me right now looks like this:
I wake up with plans, to learn something new, improve my skills, maybe apply for a role, or organize my tasks better.
Sometimes I follow through perfectly.
Other times, I get distracted, overwhelmed, or just tired.
And I’m learning not to be too hard on myself because of that.
Because the truth is, becoming better at anything isn’t about having perfect days.
It’s about showing up, even on the imperfect ones.
I’m learning things little by little, how to communicate better, how to stay organized, how to manage time, and even how to believe in my own abilities.
It’s not always obvious. It’s not always exciting.
But it’s happening.
And I think that’s what matters most.
So if your journey also feels inconsistent or slow, just know this: progress doesn’t always look perfect, but it’s still progress.
And today, I showed up again.
